It's about the impact we make on the communities around us.
We began a partnership with the Bola de Neve church in 2015. On a visit to the Hospital community, located in Jardim Patrícia in Itaquaquecetuba. As soon as we started a sports, social inclusion and assistance project with families in the region.
With a team of jiu-jitsu and judo masters, we started small classes on the "court" within the community itself with around 8 children aged 9 years on average. Later, we moved to the Igreja Amor e Obras building.
We started distributing kimonos to the children, making it possible to offer breakfast, and then, lunch was distributed not only to children, but also their families and guardians, reaching 100 children and 120 people served every Saturday.
Followed by a Bible reading and prayers, each child has the opportunity to renew their mind through the project, sports and evangelization at this location.
The project is a partnership between martial arts teaching, the church, and a deep desire to donate to others, boosting lives and transforming stories with love through works.
Judo and jiu jitsu are one of the best sports for the initial training of children and adolescents, allowing a “comprehensive physical education”, promoted through knowledge of the sport and a healthy relationship with others, using fighting as a dynamic integrator.
Our view is that we have a single constant adversary who is ourselves and not others, who we must learn to love.
The project had already existed for a few years, but it was in 2019 that it gained strength to develop. Through social networks, a campaign was created to collect material for the inauguration of the library, with around 1000 books, which were selected for children, young people and adults.
Being part of this project is a privilege... It's looking at each face and understanding that the path is long, necessary and full of incredible surprises. Being able to contemplate and collaborate with the growth of an individual makes me want to go further…

Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but when touching a human soul, just be another human soul.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13 - NIV
With the very suggestive name of our church, (Love and Work), our heart has always burned to do social actions, understanding that God wants us to help everyone.
For more than a decade, Igreja Amor e Obras has been warming cold nights for men, women and children who are on the streets at this very moment.
We carry out the project through donations, such as: gifts, coats, blankets, food, personal hygiene products, among others.
The main objective of the Project is to bring food, clothing and warm clothes As we have mentioned before, likewise, we want it to be to, bring hope, declaring the word of God, upon each one of them. We believe that anyone can be restored, transformed, renewed.
That's why we don't get tired of doing good (Galatians 6:9). We never stop believing that one day we can hear testimonies from people who left the streets, because, in addition to delivering food, they also brought faith, hope and love.
Churches are, of course, members of their communities and are often on the front lines in responding to disasters, both practically and pastorally.
Therefore, we seek to be positioned to build trust and hope, drive fear out of hearts, and build resilience, as well as people's mental and spiritual resilience.
We made volunteers available to sanitize the hospital community, we were also able to donate more than 50 liters of alcohol gel, hundreds of disposable masks for children and teenagers in the community.
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8 – NIV
