Metasilicate

R1160S
Sodium Metasilicate Pentahydrate Latin American Market Leader.

Since 1983.

  • High performance degreaser;
  • Detergents for heavy cleaning;
  • Detergents formulation for different purposes, promoting emulsification, alkalizing, buffering, humecting and scavegering action;
  • Hydrogen peroxide stabilizer;
  • Textile industry and industrial laundry;
  • Deflocculant for clay minerals and soils;
  • Corrosion inhibitor;
  • Car and truck chassis washing;
  • Metal cleaning in the surface treatment process.

Sodium metasilicate is a white, crystalline, odorless and non toxic solid, with melting point at 72 °C and highly soluble in water.

Due to its detergent power in grease and clay material removal, it is largely used in cleaning for industrial floors, industrial kitchen, slaughterhouses and dairy products works, cloth washing, cotton bleaching, paper bleaching and particularly as alkaline degreasing in surface treatment industries. Being a powerful alkalizer, it inhibits corrosion in ferrous surfaces. It is free of phosphorus and organic materials, does not harm the environment and does not cause any microbiological imbalance in natural courses of water. It can be used in effluentes and affluentes treatment for pH adjustment, and to complex and flocculate undesired or environmentally harmful substances.
